While my performing schedule does not permit me to have a large number of students, I do on occasion work with adult students who are:

• Taking up the violin/viola again after studying it earlier in life;

• Currently playing and interested in learning to improvise (coaching available for classical professionals looking to expand into pop genres);

• Looking to continue with private lessons after taking a group beginners' class.

My lesson style is to have a balance of playing, talking, interacting, learning, imitating, etc. My goal is for you to enjoy playing the violin (again or for the first time depending on your prior experience!) and to be able to do the playing you want in a way that is physically comfortable and mentally/emotionally satisfying.

I have a studio in Maplewood Square in Malden, or may be able to teach in your home in the Cambridge/Somerville area.
