Greetings Friends and Fans! Ah, the life of a musician! Just when you think nothing's happening over a long weekend, Black 47 calls to say "remember that Sunday gig? It's on..." So if you are near New Bedford this Sunday afternoon around 4pm (yes, a rare matinee!), join us:
The Gobshites and Black 47
And good news especially for you non-local fans: my latest album collaboration has been released! "The Road to Wichita" is an alt-country (not old-school country, not quite rock) album by the Beau Roland Band, which is a group assembled by the lead singer/songwriter/guitarist Phillip Ouellette and includes me on fiddle as well as others on banjo, slide guitar, drums, bass. My playing is featured on six of the twelve tracks.
If you know how to listen to MP3 files on the web, four of these tracks ('Til There's Nobody Listening, Hallelujah, Road to Wichita, and There's a Contrast) are available at this web page: September show photos, as well as a review published in local magazine The Noise are up on my site. That's it for now - Go Red Sox!
