Greetings Friends and Fans!

A reminder that I'm playing in two local shows this week:

Tuesday August 3rd Somerville MA: I'm appearing with alt-country group The Beau Roland Band at The Independent, 75 Union Sq. (the old police station). Starting around 9pm, FREE, 21+ - we're opening. Our CD The Road to Wichita will be available from the band's website www.beaurolandband.com in late August.

Friday August 6th Cambridge MA: my band The Gobshites are headlining at the venerable folk club Passim's in Harvard Sq. (We'll be debuting my first written song - a different take on the traditional "Star of the County Down"!) The all-ages show starts at 8pm with two solo performer sets, so we'll be on around 9:30-10pm. Advanced tickets are suggested, especially if you want to eat at a table: available online at the club's website or by phone at (617) 492-7679.

And a special note for non-local fans: if you have access to a decent internet connection, you can hear The Gobshites perform live on your computer! Club Passim streams a live Real audio internet broadcast of shows. Go to clubpassim.org and click on the "Listen Live" link on Friday night around 9:30-10pm Eastern Daylight time.

Other quick info:
- Photos of the Gobshites' July show at Ocean Mist in RI are up on my photo gallery.
- The track I recorded on the upcoming Grubstake CD Dynamite and Other Inventions, "The Most Promising Astronaut", received some airplay last week on Boston rock radio station WBCN.
- The monthly Gobshites show in Plymouth at Sean O'Toole's will be Friday August 27th.

Hope to see you at a show...

Cheers!
