Greetings Friends and Fans!

Photos of my May shows are now up at http://bettywiderski.com/img/0504/index.html - if those last two faces from the Plymouth show look vaguely familiar, they are two of the participants in the PBS series Colonial House.

That show was my first meeting (and playing) with The Gobshites. It went so well that they invited me to play another show the next night at the Quincy Beachcomber, and I've accepted their invitation to join the band as a permanent member. In addition to their monthly show in Plymouth, we'll also be doing a couple of RI shows this summer opening for NYC band Black 47, and hope to schedule a show in NYC in the not-too-distant future.

In other activities, I recorded tracks on 6 songs for country singer/songwriter Phillip Ouellette - I'll let you know when the CD is released (probably in mid/late Fall).

Upcoming Gigs:
Friday June 25 and Friday July 9 at Sean O'Toole's Pub, 22 Main St. in Plymouth, with the Pogues-ish "acousticelticore" band The Gobshites (21+, 9pm, cover $5)

That's it for now - stay cool and support local music!

Cheers,
Betty
