Greetings Friends and Fans!

The Rescue Party's Boston debut at the Midway Cafe in JP was a smokin' good time - we had the mirrored disco ball twirling and the audience dancing! Pictures of the show are up on my website. Oh, and the smokin' was literal: my amp fried a few circuits towards the end of the set! Obscure English transistors are now being sought by my repair person, and I've obtained another amp (any excuse for more gear...).

Anyway, this month's shows do not require personal amp use:

Sat. May 8th @ 8pm and Sun. May 9th @ 3pm I will be playing in a pit orchestra for two performances of Annie by the Winthrop Playmakers.

Friday May 14 I'll be playing in the Paula Kelley Orchestra, "Deluxe Version" (more strings than ever!) at Johnny D's in Davis Sq., Somerville. We'll be joined by the Valhalla Kittens and Corin Ashley (of the Pills).

Sunday May 23th @ 2pm at the New School of Music in Cambridge I'll be appearing in the annual recital of Meredith Cooper's violin studio, playing something related to Bach's Adagio from his G minor Solo Violin Sonata (that's not a slur on my playing ability - you'll have to attend to learn what related means...).

I'm also working on parts for some country-flavored tunes due to be recorded by a local singer/songwriter - more details as it happens.

That's it for this month (and where would I fit more in, anyway?)!

Cheers!
Betty
